The U.S. defense industrial base faces an aging and shrinking workforce while simultaneously needing to ramp up its industrial capacity to continue to serve as the arsenal of democracy in an ever more dangerous world. To meet this challenge, the industrial base requires more skilled workers in advanced technologies like automation, AI, and next-generation manufacturing methods to meet defense production needs.
Towards this end, ARCTOS spearheaded the Ohio Smart Manufacturing Training Initiative in 2021. Now in its second phase and with over $20M in federal funds to date, the program has served as a model for defense-focused technology training. Under this effort, ARCTOS experts in robotics and automation, laser manufacturing, and digital transformation work with government stakeholders, industrial partners, and educational institutions to develop, assess, replicate, and scale technology programs to meet agency needs.
ARCTOS is working with numerous stakeholders to expand this model to other technology domains and geographic areas in support of Air Force, Navy, and other customers. From managing large multi-partner programs to providing select commercial services, our team of industrial training and technology transfer experts is ready to enable your organization to address its technology workforce development challenges.
