ARMA Aviation Awarded Contract to Conduct T53 Engine, Fuel Control, and Over-Speed Governor Training for the Colombian Military

TAMPA, FL – February 16, 2018 – The U.S. Department of the Army, Army Contracting Command, awarded ARMA Aviation a task order contract supporting the Non-Standard Rotary Wing Aircraft Project Management Office, under the Worldwide Logistics and Support Services-Training IDIQ to provide basic, intermediate, and advanced T53 series engine, fuel control, and over-speed governor training for Colombian military technicians and hands-on training and advisory assistance in Colombia. The T53 turboshaft engines are manufactured by Honeywell and used to power helicopters such as the Bell UH-1H Huey, Huey II, and AH-1H Cobra. The period of performance is a 14-month base period and two 6-month option periods.
