ARMA Aviation Awarded Contract to Conduct Huey II Helicopter Training

December 12, 2018

Tampa, FL, December 12, 2018 – ARMA Aviation (ARMA) was awarded a contract to provide Bell Huey II Helicopter training to Ugandan Air Force (UAF) pilots and crew members under the U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC) Worldwide Training Support Services-Training (WLSS-T) contract. The WLSS-T contract was established by the Multi-National Aviation Special Project Office (MASPO) to build partner nation capacity by providing aviation training support services and training equipment.

ARMA Aviation Awarded U.S. Army IDIQ Contract for Contractor Logistics Support with Shared $25.5B Ceiling

October 17, 2018

TAMPA, FL, October 17, 2018 – The U.S. Army Contracting Command and the Multi-National Aviation Special Project Office (MASPO), Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, awarded ARMA Aviation Corporation (ARMA) the Worldwide Logistics Support Services – Contractor Logistics Support (WLSS-CLS) contract in the Unrestricted Group. WLSS-CLS is an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with a shared $25.5B ceiling and a 5-year base with 5-year option period of performance, supporting the U.S. Government and its Allies worldwide.

On the WLSS-CLS contract, ARMA will provide personnel, expertise and capability to deliver aircraft maintenance, supply chain management, spare parts procurement, engineering, modifications, aviation support equipment, facilities and infrastructure, packaging and handling, storage and transportation to a global set of end users.

ARMA Aviation Named a Finalist for 2018 Small Business of the Year

Tampa, FL, July 11, 2018 – ARMA Aviation (ARMA) has been selected as a finalist by the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce for the 2018 Small Business of the Year Award in the 51-250 employee category. The winner is selected by a committee of judges through a rigorous process of applications, interviews, and site visits, and is based on scores for five criteria:

History and philosophy (solid ethical business practices) Management (business goals and planning) Operational management (personnel, profitability, and administrative processes) Innovativeness, technology, and response to adversity/economic conditions/competition Leadership philosophy and community contributions (community service involvement, leadership, and corporate citizenship) ARMA is one of five finalists for this award that will host a video shoot and a one-hour site visit for the committee of judges during the month of August. The winner will be announced at the Small Business Awards Reception on September 13, 2018 at the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts.

ARMA Aviation Receives Order to Continue Aviation Flight and Maintenance Training in Afghanistan

June 20, 2018

Tampa, FL, June 20, 2018 – ARMA Aviation is pleased to announce that it received an Option Year 1 Task Order (TO) to continue aviation flight and maintenance training in Afghanistan from the U.S. Army Contracting Command supporting the Non-Standard Rotary Wing Aircraft Project Management Office. The TO provides training support services for the Afghanistan Air Force (AAF) and Special Mission Wing (SMW) in support of the Afghanistan National Defense and Security Forces (AND-SF) for Mi-17, MD-530, and PC-12 aircraft in Afghanistan. Training includes: aircraft maintenance and flight training, flight simulator training and operation, and English as a second language training and testing.

SBA Approves Mentor-Protégé Agreement Between ARMA Aviation and SOFware LLC

ARMA Aviation Awarded Contract to Conduct T53 Engine, Fuel Control, and Over-Speed Governor Training for the Colombian Military

TAMPA, FL – February 16, 2018 – The U.S. Department of the Army, Army Contracting Command, awarded ARMA Aviation a task order contract supporting the Non-Standard Rotary Wing Aircraft Project Management Office, under the Worldwide Logistics and Support Services-Training IDIQ to provide basic, intermediate, and advanced T53 series engine, fuel control, and over-speed governor training for Colombian military technicians and hands-on training and advisory assistance in Colombia. The T53 turboshaft engines are manufactured by Honeywell and used to power helicopters such as the Bell UH-1H Huey, Huey II, and AH-1H Cobra. The period of performance is a 14-month base period and two 6-month option periods.

ARMA Aviation Delivers One Millionth Part to Support Afghanistan’s Mi-17 Fleet

November 21, 2017

HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA – November 21, 2017 – After more than nine years of support to operations in Afghanistan, ARMA Aviation (ARMA) completed delivery of the one millionth Mi-series aircraft spare part for the Afghanistan Special Mission Wing (SMW) and the Afghanistan Air Force (AAF). ARMA Aviation is a sub-contractor under the Future Flexible Acquisition and Sustainment Tool (F2AST) Contractor Logistic Support (CLS) contract. This Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract provides support services and materiel procurement in support of the Non-Standard Rotary Wing Aircraft (NSRWA) Project Management Office (PMO). Through this contract, ARMA has provided full spectrum supply chain management support that includes the forecasting, procurement, inspection, delivery, and inventory management of all spare parts and repair of repairables for the Afghan Mi-17 rotary wing fleet. These efforts have directly impacted the operational readiness of the SMW and AAF units while affording the United States Government a cost-effective and responsive logistics solution.

To recognize this historic event and significant milestone, ARMA presented commemorative tail rotor blades to the NSRWA PMO in Huntsville, Alabama and to the SMW and AAF units in Afghanistan. LTC Chris Enderton accepted the commemorative blade on behalf of the NSRWA PMO in Huntsville on November 16, 2017.

ARMA Aviation Receives 2017 Materiel Readiness Award for a Contribution by a Small Business Organization

TAMPA, FL – November 15, 2017 – The Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA) presented ARMA Aviation (ARMA) with the 2017 Materiel Readiness Award for a contribution by a small business organization. This prestigious award recognizes an outstanding contribution to the Materiel Readiness (Logistic Support) of Army Aviation during the award period encompassing Aug. 1, 2016 through Jul. 31, 2017. ARMA Program Director James Myrick received the award on behalf of ARMA on November 15, 2017 at the AAAA 2017 Joseph P. Cribbins Product Symposium award ceremony in Huntsville, Alabama. ARMA is a two-time recipient of this award, having also received recognition for outstanding performance during the period of Nov. 1, 2012 through Oct. 31, 2013.

ARMA provides spare parts, repair of repairable services, and logistics support for the Mi-17 helicopter fleet as part of the Non-Standard Rotary Wing Aircraft Project Management Office, Afghanistan Contractor Logistics Support program. Since 2009, ARMA has procured, inspected, and delivered over 1,000,000 individual Mi-17 helicopter spare parts to Afghanistan, delivering 171,000 parts within the award period. ARMA’s efforts have positively impacted the operational readiness of the Afghanistan Special Mission Wing and Air Force fleets.

This TO is valued at $23M if all option periods are exercised. The period of performance is a 12-month base period and two 12-month option periods. The TO provides training support services for the Afghanistan National Defense and Security Forces (AND-SF) for rotary and fixed wing aircraft in Afghanistan. Training includes: aircraft maintenance and flight training, flight simulator training and operation, and English as a second language training and testing.

ARMA Aviation Awarded Aviation Training Contract to Support the Non-Standard Rotary Wing Aircraft Project Management Office

TAMPA, FL. – September 18, 2016 – The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded ARMA Aviation a contract for the Worldwide Logistics Support Services – Training (WLSS-T) program. This Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract has a program ceiling value of $238 million and a possible five-year period of performance. WLSS-T provides training support services, training equipment and materiel procurement in support of the Non-Standard Rotary Wing Aircraft (NSRWA) Project Management Office (PMO). Performance is both inside the Continental United States and Outside Continental United States. Projects may support any US Government entity, partner nations, and Foreign Military Sales customers. The scope includes all services, supplies, materials, equipment, and manpower necessary to develop, implement and execute training at the apprentice, journeyman or master level for a variety of non-standard aircraft, aircraft systems, aircraft support systems and Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS). Training programs include, but limited to, maintenance, aircrew, aircraft support systems and training aids, devices, simulator, and simulations; new equipment; and sustainment training.
